Mark Gray FAICD, SF (Fin), Chairman and Executive Director

Mark brings over 42 years’ experience, and an outstanding record of significant achievement, in strategic leadership, executive management and corporate governance across both the public and private sectors.

Mark is the former Under Treasurer (Chief Executive) for the State of Queensland, has held other Chief Executive positions and was also the Office Head for the Macquarie Group in Queensland.

In 2015, Mark was a member of an Expert Panel appointed by the Federal Government that undertook a Capability Review of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

He has very extensive relevant knowledge skills and experience, in financial services and management (including superannuation), trade and investment, and economic development, and was awarded a Prime Minister’s Centenary Medal for services to banking and finance in 2003. Mark also has extensive experience as a Chairman and in other non-executive roles on corporate, government and not-for-profit boards.

He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Queensland Cricket and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section), and a member of the Griffith University Council and the Brisbane Boys College School Council. His previous appointments include, Airtrain Citylink Limited, Oaks Hotels and Resorts, Max Frank (Australia) Pty Ltd, Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland Library Foundation and Urban Futures Brisbane.

He holds a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours) from the University of Queensland, where he is also an Adjunct Professor of Economics.
