Douglas Bucknell SF (Fin) GAICD Managing Director and CEO
Douglas is the TTS founder and inventor with experience in both private sector banking/finance and government policy/regulatory areas.
For over 25 years he has dealt with a variety of entities, products and structures. He has executive management experience and specialises in complex change management.
From 2010 to 2016 Mr Bucknell was the CEO Anglican Investment Development Fund (AIDF), which he took online to join the Australian clearing system and grew to $100+m. Prior to this role he was the Senior Policy Advisor for the Australian Reward Investment Alliance (ARIA) trustee of the Commonwealths three superannuation funds. He was heavily involved in the development and introduction of the new PSSap fund, including a pooled trust arrangement with the CSS and PSS defined benefit funds; he chaired the Funds Allocation Steering Committee, a governing body for the unitisation then distribution of assets to member accounts and chaired the Simpler Super Steering Committee, a governing body for 2006 Budget changes for the ARIA and Military taxed and untaxed super funds. He was also a member of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) Best Practice Committee.
From 2000 to 2005 he was the Manager Small Funds Unit for the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). During this time he managed the transfer of Australia’s self-managed super funds to ATO oversight and was the APRA member on the Heads of Commonwealth Law Enforcement Agencies Sub Committee.
His earlier roles include as Manager Treasury Credit for HSBC where he was chair of the HSBC Margin Lending Risk Committee and as a financial analyst for the National Australia Bank.
